Peggy L. Hayter 1947 ~ 2017

 Peggy Lee Hayter of Ponca City, OK passed away peacefully surrounded by all four of her beautiful daughters and two of her grandchildren on Monday December 11, 2017.
 She was born in Seattle, WA, and graduated from high school in Bakersfield, CA. Peggy spent some time traveling the world with her daughter and parents, living in such places as Australia and Iran.
 She moved back to the US and married Stan Hayter in Anthony, KS on August 16, 1975. Together, they had 3 more daughters and many life adventures.
 They had a hand in farming, hairdressing, land lording, commercial flying, and nursing. Peggy was also an extraordinary quilter, seamstress, and crafter.
 Peggy was a nurturer at heart and took great pride in her career as a registered nurse. She cared for people at St. Mary’s Hospital and as Dr. Tom Snyder’s (her favorite doctor) office nurse in Enid, OK. She immensely enjoyed the love of her family and friends.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Carmelita Fronk, her husband, Stan Hayter, and her granddaughter, Emily Hayter.
 Peggy will be missed by her four daughters Wendy Burg and husband Tom, Nicole Bartell and husband Dan, Jana Sturgell and husband Luke, and Ashley Moore; as well as her 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, her sister Penny Dickey and family, and her sweet dachshund Lulu.
 Celebration of Peggy's life was held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony with Pastor Don Stanton officiating.  Musical selections "Heaven Knows" by Hillsong and "Blessed Assurance" by Alan Jackson were played. 
 Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery, Anthony.  Casket bearers were Tom Burg, Luke Sturgell, Dan Bartell, Brett Burg, Bryce Burg and Nick Standerfer. 
 Memorials in memory of Peggy may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the Oklahoma Heart Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
 Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003, was in charge of arrangements.
